- NHS Online Login – If you do not have a mobile device to use the NHS App, you can still access these services online. You can use your ‘NHS Login’ to do so. Click here to learn more
- SystmOnline – Order Your Repeat Prescription Online
- By repeat slip or on paper – You can put your request in on paper by dropping it through the letterbox.

Non-urgent advice: Patient Notice
Please allow at least two full working days for your prescription to be processed three if your prescription is taken to the local chemist.
Not all medications are put on to repeat. Certain medications are deliberately not put on to repeat prescription as they can be dangerous. It is a decision between an individual and the doctor about whether a medication goes on to repeat.
HRT Pre-Payment Certificate
From the 1 April, the Government is launching the HRT Pre-Payment Certificate (PPC) to reduce prescription costs for women receiving Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
The HRT PPC will be available to buy in one single payment online at www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/hrt-ppc, or in-person at some pharmacies. You can call 0300 330 2089 for help and support.
Before buying an HRT PPC, you should check if:
- you’re eligible for free NHS prescriptions using the eligibility checker: www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/check
- your medicine is covered by the HRT PPC. For a list of eligible HRT medication, visit: www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/hrt-ppc-medicines
- a 3 or 12 month PPC is more suitable. It covers all NHS prescriptions, not just HRT items. Visit: www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/ppc
Dispensary
We are pleased to be able to dispense medication to almost all patients who are registered at Cropwell Bishop and certain patients living in villages surrounding Bingham. Our dispensary team work hard to provide an excellent, efficient service.
In order for us to dispense to you, you must live at least 1 mile from your nearest community pharmacy as the crow flies. Once your prescription has been processed please allow up to 2 full working days for your medication to be ready to collect from our dispensaries at Cropwell Bishop and Bingham. If we are able to get your medication ready any sooner then we may send you a text message.
We provide a home delivery service for dispensing patients who require it and are also able to provide dosette boxes for patients who may struggle to take their medication correctly. Please ask at the dispensary for more information.
Medication reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications. A message will be printed on repeat slips when a review is due. Please ensure you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

What to do with old medicines
Take it to the pharmacy you got it from or bring it in to the surgery. Do not put it in your household bin or flush it down the toilet.
About pharmacists
As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:
- coughs
- colds
- sore throats
- tummy trouble
- aches and pains
They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.
Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends. You do not need an appointment.
Most pharmacies have a private consultation room where you can discuss issues with pharmacy staff without being overheard.
